Last Quarter

Everything has an end but it will be treasured for a long time. My 10th-grade journey within this new normal has come to an end. I gained a lot of knowledge throughout this crazy school year.                               The last quarter of my grade 10 school year was full of rollercoaster emotions. I experienced some difficulties since we are not able to get our modules. Yet, I learned a lot of things that I can apply in the future. I was able to define, identify and describe Microsoft FrontPage from other web design software. I also learned the steps in creating Frontpage Website and new files in MS FrontPage. Now, I know how to apply a Design Theme and create pages needed for my website. Unfortunately, we were not able to actually perform in Microsoft FrontPage. Aside from that we still have a great explanation with the help of our modules.                        I.C.T. subject is one of the media core subjects that I have encountered. I

Act to Survive

Image
Environmental issues are one of the most important issues to look out for. Through the years we caused a lot of damage to our ecosystem. Ecosystems are defined as the interaction between living organisms - plants, animals, people - with their surroundings. This includes nature, but also human-made systems such as cities or farms. Mostly we depend on our survival in a healthy ecosystem.                                                     Forests have been decreasing their coverage lately. In the last century, we almost had destroyed half of our wetlands. A lot of animals and plants were endangered and going extinct. Global greenhouse gas emissions have grown for three consecutive years and the planet is at one pace for potentially catastrophic climate change. When the Covid-19 pandemic has begun, the effects of disastrous environmental loss have been shown to the public. With these issues, World Environment Day 2021 focuses on restoration with the theme of “Rei

The Day of Freedom

Image
Independence Day is considered the most significant event in our country since it is the time were the Philippines achieved national sovereignty on July 12, 1946. Freedom is one aspect to keep peace in our country. Gladly over the years, it is celebrated to pay tribute and to respect the cause of the event.                                 On August 4, 1964, former President Diosdado Macapagal signed Republic Act No. 4166, which established the annual June 12 commemoration of the Philippine Independence Day. This Act established the holiday, which is based on General Emilio Aguinaldo's Declaration of Independence on June 12, 1898, and Filipino revolutionary troops fighting against Spanish domination. In 1898, the Philippines' flag was hoisted and the national song was played for the first time.                               Before the pandemic, government offices were closed. In every school, there are no classes. Except for retail malls, m

Light of Our Homes

Motherhood is one of the hardest roles in human beings. Mother’s Day is celebrated to express respect, honor, and love towards mothers. The day is an event to honor the contribution of mothers, acknowledge the efforts of maternal bonds and the role of mothers in our society.                             It is observed in different forms throughout the world. In Thailand, Mother’s Day is always celebrated in August on the birthday of the current queen, Sirikit. Another alternate observance of Mother’s Day can be found in Ethiopia, where families gather each fall to sing songs and eat a large feast as part of Antrosht, a multi-day celebration honoring motherhood. In the United States, Mother’s Day continues to be celebrated by presenting mothers and other women with gifts and flowers, and it has become one of the biggest holidays for consumer spending. Families also celebrate by giving mothers a day off from activities like cooking or other household chore

Empire of Women (Thematic)

Empowering women can be fully achieved by addressing issues and concerns they face every day. National Women’s Month can also be an alarm for inclusive actions towards gender equality. It is who can build an intellectual empire to encourage and empower women.                   It may be described in a variety of ways, including respecting women's perspectives or making a desire to reach them. Elevating women's position towards education, awareness, literacy, and training. They have the chance to reinterpret gender norms and other similar responsibilities, which may provide them maximum choice to pursue desired goals. Women empowerment has the authority to raise consciousness not only to their struggles as women but also on how they can relate it to political and economic issues.   Implement supply chain, marketing practices, and enterprise development that empower women.  It is also those who measure and report publicly on the progress that creates gender equality

One Colorful Event

Image
Binatbatan Festival is a fusion of culture, arts, industry history, and heritage under one event. The streets were closed, and people congregated in certain areas. The drums are pounding loudly. The street dancers wear colorful costumes and proudly proclaim "Viva Vigan!”                           According to Damaso King, a well-known Vigan historian, the Viva Vigan Binatbatan Festival of the Arts, which goes from the last week of April to the first week of May, was originally the Feast of the Natives, which began on May 3, 1883. The festival began when an epidemic killed 934 residents in a month in 1882. The huge number of death in such a short time alarmed the Spanish natives, then the parish priest requested for the visit to Vigan of the Santo Cristo Milagroso of Sinait town. The people celebrated a nine-day novena in honor of Santo Milagroso. The number of deaths dropped as the novena progressed, and the pandemic came to an end on the last day. People

A New Beginning

Third grading period has come to an end garnering a lot of new knowledge. Through modular distance learning, I accomplished the task which is easy to understand. The tasks are also very close to my heart which is the community-based research.                                      I enjoyed answering the tasks so far since I got to know more about what my community can offer. I tend to appreciate more and give importance to my community. Through community-based research, I got to know some precious gem of my community. Products, cultures, tourist spots identification, and other stuff. It helps me also in promoting my own hometown Also, essays about issues that are very timely really help me to take action and give attention to the topic.                                    This third grading period might end but knowledge will always stay in my mind. A new quarter which will probably the last in m new quarter which will probably the last in my w
