Achieving A Resilient Nation

Our country, the Philippines had suffered many calamities and disasters throughout the years. Many infrastructures, lives, and other things that had been destroyed during the calamities. These challenges serve as a lesson to everyone.

Typhoons, Earthquakes and volcanic eruptions are common calamities of the Philippines. Its location is abundant to these kinds of happening because we’re in the Pacific Ring of Fire. A lot of people are still recovering from this kind of occurrence because it’s not that easy. Lives, shelter, and food are mainly affected if these disasters strike. The typhoon “Yolanda” and the explosion of Mt. Pinatubo is a few examples of those calamities. The covid-19 pandemic that is happening right now, although we are not fully prepared. The members of the government are prepared whenever there is a problem in our country. Health Departments and Disaster teams are approachable throughout these disasters. Relief goods are always present to those in need. Other people also donate clothes and other stuff to help other people’s situations. News reporters are always active to deliver the situation in a place so we can prepare anything.
Guidance is very important to ones’ home, we need to be informed always, have a strong determination, and will handle all these problems. Knowledge is important in order to recover fast and live healthier. A strong and cooperative community can make a great nation. A problem can teach us a lesson so that if we encounter again the same problem, we know how to handle it. We need to recover as fast as possible in order to live peacefully again. The key to a resilient Philippines is a creative and disciplined nation with a wise leader.

  4. Hello Kristien! Philippines suffered and will suffer a lot of calamities because of us, humans. We are the ones who are creating a way for us and also nature to suffer. Just like the Sierra Madre, it is located there as it has a big role to our country. But because of the irresponsibility of people, a lot of us are suffering right now. I truly hope that someday humanity will learn on how to be be disciplined and be responsible to mother nature. God Bless!
